Our Story

Born from a Vision of Change

Daanveer Foundation was established in 2019 by Ankita Pandit in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. What started as a small group of volunteers determined to organise blood donation camps has grown into a full-fledged social organisation running 8 active programs across the city.

The name "Daanveer" — meaning "hero of giving" — reflects the foundation's core belief: that giving is the highest form of courage. Every program, every initiative and every volunteer hour is an act of daan (giving) — be it blood, knowledge, time or care.

Today, Daanveer Foundation is recognised as one of Lucknow's most active grassroots organisations, touching over 5,000 lives and continuing to grow — one act of kindness at a time.

Our Founder

Ankita Pandit

Ankita Pandit is a social entrepreneur and humanitarian based in Lucknow. Driven by an unwavering belief in the power of community service, she founded Daanveer Foundation in 2019 with a handful of volunteers and a clear mission: to serve those who need it most.

Under her leadership, the foundation has conducted hundreds of blood donation camps, reached thousands of underprivileged children with free education, and built a network of over 100 active volunteers across Lucknow.

Ankita continues to work at the ground level — personally visiting beneficiaries, leading events and inspiring her team with every act of selfless giving.
